Treaty 2 Territory – Grand Chief Eugene Eastman and the Council of Chiefs would like to congratulate Little Saskatchewan First Nation Chief Hector Shorting on his re-election this evening by acclamation. Official elections will be on 28 January 2019.
Little Saskatchewan First Nation – is an Ojibway speaking First Nation located along the west shore of Lake St. Martin about 225 KM northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba. As of February 2018, Little Saskatchewan had a total registered population of 1,165 including 546 living on-reserve.
The Anishinaaabek of Little Saskatchewan First Nation entered into Treaty No. 2 in August 21, 1871 at Manitoba House, with Representatives of the Queen of England and Ireland.
